Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (EDDA)

Help others maintain a healthy smile by promoting appropriate oral hygiene as you take your knowledge and skills as a current dental assistant to the next level. In our EDDA program, you can learn in an accelerated, hands-on environment, balancing theory and application. Upon graduation, you will be awarded a certificate of completion.

At Intellitec Medical Institute, our EDDA program is a 40-hour course that can be completed in three weekends. As a student in our EDDA program, you can perform a variety of applicable tasks that emulate real-world scenarios like:

• Chairside assisting
• Maintaining supply levels and cleanliness
• Sterilizing instruments and equipment
• Placing and polishing composites
• Packing and carving amalgams
• Utilizing multiple matrix systems
• And more
